MARION DESSEIGNE RAVEL

MARION DESSEIGNE RAVEL

Director

Marion Desseigne Ravel discovers cinema at the age of 20 by participating in a documentary on the struggle of undocumented migrants in Ile-de-France. She forges a relationship to the image based on reality and encounter. She then goes to La Fémis where she discovers the work with the actors and takes a liking for fiction. She directed short films, including Les Murs and Fin d’été, and Voyage en Lémurie selected in several festivals. She collaborates on the writing of feature scripts and is a regular consultant for structures such as the Moulin d'Andé.
In 2017, she directed Les Ormes a short film produced by Perspective Films. Very involved in associations, she run image for education workshops for undocumented women (within the association Combats Ordinaires), women in professional reintegration (within the framework of the association Thousand Faces), or for children from underprivileged neighborhoods (as part of the Créteil Women's Film Festival).
She is currently preparing her first feature and collaborating on the writing of various other projects.
