After following his studies at the prestigious school Louis Lumière, Thierry Lebon made his debut working at France 3 Regions then in a renown studio in Paris: Auditel. He created the studio Merjithur in 1982 with school friends, where he records and mixes film music, commercial and many cartoons. 4 years later, he become the manager of the studio.
In parallel, he teaches in Louis Lumière as well as ENSATT and ESRA from 1985 to 1991. He worked as a sound designer with directors such as Bernardo Bertolucci (Little Boudha), Michelangelo Antonioni et Wim Wenders (Par-delà les nuages), Jean-Pierre Jeunet et Marc Caro (La cité des enfants perdus), Alain Chabat (Astérix et Obélix : Mission Cléopâtre), Marjane Satrapi (Persepolis), Éric Bergeron (Monstre à Paris) and more recentlyLuc Jacquet (La Glace et le Ciel).
