Denis Dercourt - Director
From an early age, Denis Dercourt bathes in the world of music and cinema. Son (and grandson) of a producer and a piano teacher, he was soloist violin in the French Symphonic Orchestra from 1988 to 1993 and taught chamber music at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg. In 1997, the comedy Le Déménagement marks his debut of Denis Dercourt as director. He founded with his brother the Les Films à un dollar company and made a name for himself in 1998 with Les cachetonneurs. Music is again very important in his two following feature films: Mes enfants ne sont pas comme les autres then La tourneuse de pages, very noticed on the Croisette in 2006. His sixth film, Demain dès l'aube... (2008) is also presented in Cannes in the Un Certain Regard section.
Jérôme Lemonnier - Composer
Jérôme Lemonnier started playing piano at the age of 5. He pursued his musical education at the Ecole Normale Normale de Musique, then at the Conservatoire National de Musique in Paris and graduated from Sorbonne after following the Musicologie program in 1984. Jérôme has composed, produced and edited a number of soundtracks for the arts and entertainment industry, including TV shows, theater, songs and advertisements. After meeting with the film maker and screen writer Denis Dercourt in 2006, Jérôme starts producing music and soundtracks for the film industry. His first production, The Page Turner, is nominated for Best Original Music Award at the Cesar 2007. Jérôme also worked with films makers Christophe Ali, Nicolas Bonilauri, Raphaël Nadjari and Emmanuel Courcol.
