Festival International du Film d'Aubagne - March 18th to 23th 2019

Trevor Jones

Screening of Mississippi Burning
Wednesday March 20 7:00h pm Cinéma Le Pagnol
« La musique est une ligne émotionnelle directe pour le public, elle va droit au cœur, elle contourne le cerveau »

At age 9, Trevor Jones discovers Limelight by Charlie Chaplin. Leaving the screening, he knew that he wanted to become a film score composer. Noticed for his work on an Irish TV show, John Boorman allows him to write for his first feature Excalibur (1981). A prolific career follows. Trevor Jones composes for cult films such as Mickael Mann’s Le dernier des Mohicans Jim Henson’s Dark Crystal and Labyrinthe or Cliffhanger. His versatility and undeniable talent have allowed him to work, among others, with directors such as Harold Becker (Mélodie pour un meurtre, 1989 ), Mark Herman (Les Virtuoses, 1996), John Henderson, Barbet Schroeder or even Richard Loncraine (Richard III, 1995).

Special guest of the 20th edition of the festival, Trevor Jones invites you to (re)discover his musical composition on Alan Parker’s Mississippi Burning that earned him a BAFTA award nomination for Best music.
